Who is using AI and for what in these areas:
Is it unethical to hire a grant writer to help me write a grant?
I provide them with all my prior proposals, awards, publications, and a rough draft. I handle the science part, but let them flesh out the rest.
Is this ethical? Do I need to disclose this? Does that person need to be mentioned in the proposal?
Next question: If I train my own AI bot, provide it with the exact same data, and give strict instructions to only use the documents I provide, is this the same as using a human?
I have a proposal that I finished and gave to a grant writer to improve. The science remains unchanged, but they change 10% of my text.
Is this still my proposal? What about if 30%, 50%, or 70% is changed and the science remains the same? Is it still my proposal?
How about if, instead of a human, AI made the changes (with the science remaining the same)? Is it still my proposal, and do I need to disclose that AI was involved?
